The shop trade union organization of the SUR Primary Organization of Vladivostok at the Maritime State University named after admiral G.I. Nevelskoy summarized the results of the "Out of Watch" competition. According to its Chair, Anna Golenishcheva, the cadets presented their work in the nominations "Fine Arts", "Art of Photography" and "Author's Word". The cadets of the 12th company of the faculty of Navigation and Radio Communications won in all nominations.
The painting "Neon Vladivostok" by Pavel Uchinin was recognized as the best artwork.
- The picture is painted in oil. I depicted the embankment near our University at night: the multicoloured lights of the big city are reflecting on the water, cars are moving, but at the same time there is a feeling of tranquillity and romance of the sea. I have been drawing since childhood, but it is not easy to combine studying and painting as I only have free time on Saturdays, when there are not so many studies, - he said.
Future navigator Oleg Nikolaev, who won the prize as the best photographer, found a creative impulse during his shipboard training: "When we passed Sakhalin, I was on the bridge and took pictures of everything around me. "Photography facilitates the appreciation of the world around you".
The magnificence of poetry is reflected in the poems of Andrey Maksimov, many of which he composed while at sea.
The winners noted the importance of support from the SUR. They emphasized that "Out of Watch" is not just a creativity competition, but an opportunity to profile yourself even at the training stage, thanks to the SUR.
The SUR Primary Organization of Vladivostok awarded the winners with prize moneys, gifts and certificates.
