SUR representatives visited seafarers in the port of Novorossiysk

Technical Labor Inspectors of Seafarers' Union of Russia in Novorossiysk inspected the working conditions of the crew on board  the tanker Zaphira. During the inspection, the crew had an opportunity to ask questions about trade union fees, the protection of labor rights and welfare services provided for the SUR members. For those seafarers who have not yet joined the trade union, the SUR representatives recommended to apply to a primary organization at their place of residence.

The crew of the Zaphira consists of seafarers from different regions of Russia: Kuban, Crimea, Moscow region. Some of them joined the SUR many years ago and have already made their own opinion of the work of the trade union. But there are also those who still know very little about SUR, and that's why such meetings are very useful to every seafarer.

Thus, the SUR representatives told the tanker crew members about the opportunity to receive financial aid, take legal advice and visit the trade union's gym in Novorossiysk - and all this is free for the SUR members. Besides, the New Year holidays are ahead, which means that children of the seafarers – SUR members will get New Year's sweat gifts soon.

The Zaphira crew members, in turn, noted that the working conditions on board  the vessel are rather  decent, and even gave the SUR representatives a short vessel tour.
